      @windbase9782 This could be possible. E85 is great fuel but there comes repercussions of running E85 try running fuel injector clean. Some times you have to perform a top engine cleaning because of the carbon build up on the valves this can also cause miss fires.

    Happy Friday. I finally got the heads off the block and man it’s nasty in there. I’m not sure what I’m seeing but there’s peeling on the surface of the block but no cracks. It’s orange and black so I’m assuming it’s residue from the gasket? Definitely much dirter than yours. But I did have one question. I checked the block just now with a warpage ruler from amazon and check the clearance with a .002 tester and it slides through in one of the diagonal angles. .003 has no issues and won’t go through but it’s that spot with .002 I’m worried about. Thank you. What is the maximum warpage allowed on these 2.3 block and what is generally accepted by mechanics such as yourself. I have not cleaned the block yet so I might get more clear results after doing so or it won’t make much a difference? Also how do I clean the piston and block without damaging it.

      @@TOUGHBUILDSCUSTOMSI have bad news man. I was under the impression that the head warped or the gasket blew but it seem that my head gasket didn’t blow. My heads were warped and after cleaning the gasket adhesive from the deck I found a chip/groove/gouge right on the coolant channel slit between cylinder 1 & 2 and its visible to the touch and eye so I’m pretty sure it’s the cause of the leak. I would machine it but knowing my limited I am when it comes to engine work I think I’ll just buy the updated block from ford so I’ll delay the repair. The main problem is that i’ve been following the video and to be honest with you I can’t afford a mechanic + tow + parts so I’ll have to figure out how to take the block out and back in and time the engine + matching it with the torque converter…etc which aren’t included in the video This car is kicking my ass but oh well more learning for me. I’m putting a lots of weight onto loosening the bolt counter-clockwise with a breaker bar and it is not coming off. I tried to use a impact drill for 2-3 second on the first bolt and surprisingly it didn’t loosen a bit. I’m planning on buying a longer breaker bar and putting some pb blast on the bolt tomorrow. @flamingphin8893 okay that’s a map sensor. They save way you would take off the one I just explained to you. Yeah it’s easy trust me. That white tab should side up and down. When it’s down it’s locked when it’s up it’s unlocked. Then you just push the white tab down and pull it off.

    hey man, I’m stuck on the part where you removed the air pump adapter on the end of the right camshaft. I tried your trick, using a spreader and hammer it counter clockwise, using some PB blast on the thread, and also I used a flat driver and put the thing right through it and pull as hard as i can and it won’t loosen. I tried for hours and man the flat head is gonna snap if i pull it any harder than I can. Any advice?

    • @TOUGHBUILDSCUSTOMS
      @TOUGHBUILDSCUSTOMS 2 місяці тому

      You might be going the wrong way. Umm the cams spin counter clockwise. So I am sure it goes the other way see if it gets looser. Let me know.

    • @TOUGHBUILDSCUSTOMS
      @TOUGHBUILDSCUSTOMS 2 місяці тому

      Also pay attention to how I am turning it out with my fingers it’s the same direction. Make sure someone holds the camshaft from turning. You may have to hit it a little harder just be careful with vibrations in the camshaft. You can also try using the tool that holds the cams in place basically using one of the edges as a wrench slide it into the groove and turn.

      @@TOUGHBUILDSCUSTOMS Yes sir i’m quite certain that I’m turning it the right direction. I’m on the left side of the car and pulling the bolt towards me. I didn’t turn the camshaft but I did turn the crank so that the line is at 12 and 6 o clock. I used the crankshaft holder which is a thick piece of metal and i kid you not the metal bended. Is there anything I can do at this point? I’m ordering a drive drag link socket to use on the adapter with a breaker to see if i hit any luck but I’m thinking that won’t work. Is there any way I can go around this and does the adapter on the camshaft will absolutely need to be off for the timing to be correct. I have to return my head for core charge in a few days so I’m kinda stuck here. Anything will help and thank you for the quick response. By the way what is the core charge return deadline for the head in your link. I got the same link and have been looking but I don’t see a return deadline but I’m hitting a month and I had it stored in my home for 3 weeks due to urgent work tasks.

      @@user-em9rh1ii5e yes there is a way around it. This would only work for removing them. Not installing them. Now if you’re getting new camshafts then you can just get a new vacuum pump camshaft adapter. As long as your cams are not pushing down on you valves you can tell this by your camloops are pointed up you can safely take it off. Has to be top dead center. I would say heat but that’s risky because it’s aluminum. They do make a tool for removing them. I can’t seem to remember the name omg lol. This is something else that yours won’t break lose. The only other way is to soak it in PB blaster other then that there’s not much more. You can spend alittle money and call a local mechanic they should have the tool to remove it. I wish I was there I would get her off for you.

      @@TOUGHBUILDSCUSTOMSThanks for the quick man I really appreciate it. A few days later and multiple attempts of smacking the bolt with the brake spreader and hammer and some PB blast it still won’t come off. Currently I’m waiting for this socket called drive link socket from amazon coming tomorrow that I can attached to my 3/8 wrench and i think it’ll fit into the flat head crack in the adapter. If that doesn’t work then maybe I’ll just fit top dead center and take it off like that. I just don’t want to move too much away from the video since I have no clue how to improvise and not follow the video and I also don’t want to mess up the timing. Also what is the tool/bolt you mentioned in 7:47? Thanks again
